-tony is terrified for peter, again. he knows what it’s like to be held hostage and he doesn’t want peter to feel like that even for a second, let alone the very real possibility that peter will die here

i love this scene so much. obviously it’s hilarious but it also sums the whole premise of the show up so perfectly. just watching this and not knowing anything about the show you’d never know that these people are a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost because their reactions and their relationships are so damn human. their problems are decidedly weird and supernatural but this right here, this is the three of them being human. this is humanity being what you do, not what you are. this is what the show was always about

of course! this is something tony would understand immediately and intimately. from the moment they meet tony recognises the cloak as a sentient being, just like friday, just like jarvis, just like the bots. tony sees and treats the cloak as sentient from the very beginning because he knows it is, it may be magic but it’s very like dum-e or u. and this is why the cloak likes tony! it’s pretty clear the cloak likes tony from their interactions with peter and i think it stems from this moment where tony immediately talks to the cloak as if it’s a person
