i’ve got a hot take™️ about why everyone loves shuri so much (don’t worry i love her too this isn’t one of Those takes). shuri is very probably the most joyful and happy and arguably the least traumatised of the principal mcu cast. not to say that she hasn’t been through some shit, cause she’s just lost her dad at a pretty young age and the events of black panther weren’t exactly easy. but still. it’s not falling out of your time, being repeatedly brainwashed for seventy plus years, being tortured and manipulated as a child to make an assasin, being kidnapped, tortured and held prisoner for months (nearly dying alone in the vastness of space, nearly dying from the effects of the very thing saving your life, being beaten close to death by your friend who lied to you about your parent’s murder and then left for dead, watching the two people you love most in the world both fall from the sky and failing to catch them, jfc tony that’s not even all of them anyway i digress). shuri is relatively untouched and when we see her in infinity war i want her to stay that way. this is a girl who creates weapons that stun and repel but don’t kill, she’s so fucking GOOD and i really don’t want to see the mcu break her. we don’t need that. LET. SHURI. STAY. HAPPY
