Tony, who do you think locked you out? I was the one who filed the injunction against you. It was the only way I could protect you.

He needs no dialogue. He can do a whole freaking movie with his eyes alone

i wonder about this scene a lot. because christine everhart was right there. right behind him. there’s no way she didn’t hear all of tony’s conversation with obadiah. but she leaves? she doesn’t follow up with tony about it and the next we see of her is the iconic “i am iron man” scene. what was she thinking here??? why did she just leave? how did her opinion of tony change? or not change? when she heard what obadiah said? why didn’t she break the story immediately? was she sparing tony? did she go home after the press conference at the end of the film and reveal to world what obadiah did? or did shield stop her? i have so many questions about christine everhart and i know this gifset is tony just breaking my heart and it’s so easy to get lost in the story he’s telling with just his eyes but there’s a whole other story going on in the background that’s equally interesting and i wanna know about both

Stephen McFeely: “That’s the most interesting part of the third act. That Steve – and Natasha but we don’t talk about that – watched that video in Winter Soldier. They know categorically that HYDRA killed [the Starks]. Never told Tony. So when Tony asks him, ‘Rogers, did you know?’ and [Steve] says, ‘Yes,’ it’s maybe the worst thing Steve’s ever done. It’s certainly the most self-involved. [He was] copping to his one big mistake.” (x)

Iron Man (2008): Deleted Scenes

Tony Comes Home

christ.

can you imagine though, jarvis all alone in tony’s malibu house? jarvis who of course doesn’t have any physical form at all, jarvis who at this point occupies just the house and tony’s phone–jarvis, who is dependent on tony for everything, who lives essentially in tony’s pocket, suddenly being completely alone for the first time in his silicon life.

and every ten minutes on the dot for days and days and days he accesses the latest news reports, re-calculating and re-calculating tony’s chances at survival, endlessly running the numbers. and nobody told him to do that. tony’s house was empty and dark and nobody told jarvis to keep an eye on the news but he did. jarvis could have just spun down his hard drives and gone into hibernate mode, but he didn’t.

no, he watched the news. he stood vigil. he waited and he hoped that his calculations were wrong. that one day he would be able to say welcome home, sir once more.

THIS is why I resent the fact that they killed off Jarvis in AoU for no good reason and didn’t even give him a mourning period like ????
