sansadaily:

“The only way to keep your people loyal is to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy.“  "I will remember, Your Grace,” said Sansa, though she had always heard that love was a surer route to the people’s loyalty than fear. If I am ever a queen, I’ll make them love me.

sansa honey, YOU CROSSED HER. you crossed her multiple times and here you are still standing strong! sansaaaaaaaaaaa don’t you realise how powerful you areeeeeeeeeeee???

hi butterfly! i feel like you’d appreciate this: a few months ago my whole family took a “which asoiaf character are you” quiz. all was well until my mother burst out laughing when my younger brother got sandor clegane. she then proceeded to tell us about a quaker oats advert from just before my brother was born, starring a muscular man in a kilt. this handsome man first made her think of my brother’s name, and so my brother is named after that one time rory mccann was in a porridge ad

OMG. You mean one of these ads?

That’s so cool of your mom, and congrats to your brother Rory, he has a fine legacy to live up to. 🙂

welp scotts porridge oats not quaker oats i always get them mixed up.

additionally: my little sister got her middle name when my mum drove past a pub called the yorkshire rose and thought ‘rose, how lovely, my own little yorkshire rose’ and now spends every family gathering pretending she was named after my great aunt rose

You don’t know which way she went?

Brienne KNEW the man she was with was The Hound.  Podric told her.  That would have been some ACES information to share with Sansa, instead of, she was with a man she didn’t want to leave.

I thought the same thing, but I think it’s more a matter of, for all Brienne’s been dedicated to rescuing Sansa (and Arya) for several seasons now, she doesn’t actually KNOW Sansa. Everything about that conversation maintained a polite distance – and avoided saying anything that could be triggering (for want of a better word).
