zawe ashton was my pick for the 12th doctor so i’m torn between wanting her back as journey blue and wanting to wait until she can be the doctor- don’t think that’s gonna happen though. :( with her it would be nice to see the doctor grow out of his prejudice against soldiers off the back of death in heaven (character development yay) and a companion from another time period would be cool.
I am 100000000% in support of Journey Blue coming back as the next companion. She was just such a great character, and Zawe Ashton was amazing.
brb just running off with whovianfeminism and anon to form the journey blue fan club.
and the doctor thought ‘jesus i need to fix this now’ because everyone knows he likes ‘its bigger on the inside’.
You’ll find out a little bit more, but I only want you to find out bits that sound exciting. I mean, we’re never going to flashback to the Time War on television. It could never live up to what you’ve imagined. It’s so much more alive by being imprecise. I don’t know, someone might make a film one day… but actually, if you’re doing a film, you’d have a new Time War. You’ve just got to keep moving forwards. It’s a nice mythology. It’s got that Harry Potter-ness about it. What happened to Lily and James Potter? I hope to God she doesn’t bring them back to life in the last book! I don’t think she will—she loves a good death, and you’ve got to make it permanent—cos it would just betray everything.
Then keep your tired ass comments out of the Downton Abbey tag then.
i’ve actually been thinking about this a lot lately in relation to another show, and another set of tags i wish people would butt the hell out of. so i’m sorry anon but this ask is gonna be a discussion about tagging etiquette.
the way i see it is that you have the tag for something, say the ‘steven moffat’ tag because hey that’s what i’ve been thinking about. now, in the overall ‘steven moffat’ tag (or the overall ‘downton abbey’ tag) it is perfectly legitimate for both positive or negative posts about the subject of the tag, in this case steven moffat, to be posted. however there are also strictly positive and negative tags such as ‘moffat stans’ or ‘anti-moffat’, and these the tags of communities of people who either like or dislike steven moffat and his work. it is not fair, in fact it is invasive and unkind, for someone to post positive posts about steven moffat in the negative ‘anti-moffat’ tag, and vice versa. in addition all opinionated posts about steven moffat tagged with ‘steven moffat’ must also be tagged with either the positive or negative tag so that those wishing to browse the overall tag without seeing opinions they don’t like can blacklist them (something which i failed to do anon, and for that i am sorry- after i’ve finished typing this reply i will go back and add ‘anti-downton abbey’ to the original post). this way i think discussion can be held in the tags about a subject, but the communities and safe spaces of people who hold a particular belief about that subject can also be respected.
mentally begins rewriting doctor who. again.
i am very angry and upset about doctor who.
