i showed this to my 11 year old sister who really likes carol but has only read 80s ms marvel comics and she said “oh i like that much better than the comics her costume is much less sexualised”. she’s really excited for the film now

I know everyone seems to want Natalie Dormer for Carol Danvers, but I’d like to offer up the obvious choice: Gwendoline Christie.

Note: She’d be taller than the entire rest of the cast of the Avengers. Hemsworth is also 6’3”, but she seems to have a few extra centimeters. Just picture her.

Don’t pit Black Widow against Captain Marvel.

Is it awesome that Carol’s getting her own movie? Fuck yeah.

Am I disappointed that Black Widow didn’t have a movie announced today? Fuck Yeah.

But what I mean by that is I’m disappointed that there wasn’t more than one movie with a female lead announced today out of nine. Not that it should have been Widow instead, but that it should have been both.
